YANGON, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar police seized 6.6 kilograms of heroin and some stimulants in Shan state, according to a release from the Cent Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) on Monday.
The seizure was made by an anti-narcotic task force in Muse township on Sunday.
Soap boxes filled with heroin worth over 132 million kyats (88,000 U.S. dollars) were confiscated from a car, along with 120,000 stimulant tablets worth 180 million kyats (120,000 U.S. dollars) at a toll gate on Sunday afternoon.
A 30-year-old driver was charged under the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
