NANNING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Police in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region busted a drug-dealing ring, with about 14 kg of heroin seized and five suspects captured, the local public security department announced on Thursday.
A drug dealer surnamed Ou caught the attention of police in the city of Pingxiang, which borders Vietnam, at the beginning of this year. The gang was busted on Oct. 12.
An investigation showed that Ou and her family members had been smuggling drugs from abroad for a long time, leveraging her close connections with several drug dealers in Vietnam and Laos.
Further investigation is underway.
