YANGON, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities seized a total of 9,900 kg of controlled chemicals in Nay Pyi Taw, said a release from the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) on Thursday.
The seizure was made in Lewe township on Wednesday morning.
Plastic barrels filled with hydrochloric acid were confiscated from a 12-wheeled truck travelling from Thar Wut Hti to Pyinmana town at 10:30 a.m. local time.
On the same day, 3.9 kg of raw opium were seized from a motorcycle by an anti-narcotic taskforce on Hopong-Loilem road in Hopong township, Shan state.
Two suspects were charged in connection with the cases.
