YANGON, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities seized a total of 138,000 stimulant tablets in Hpakant township, Myanmar's Kachin state, according to the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) on Tuesday.
Stimulant tablets worth 690 million kyats (460,000 U.S. dollars) were confiscated from a house in Hpakant township on Monday morning, according to the committee.
Meanwhile, Myanmar police also seized 49.3 grams of heroin and 180 stimulant tablets in Katha township, Sagaing region on the same day.
Suspects in connection with the cases were charged by respective township police under the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
