Aerial photo taken on May 8, 2019 shows a scenery of Dabaozi Village of Dawa District in Panjin, northeast China's Liaoning Province. Liaoning Province is located in the southern part of Northeast China, with the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea lying to its south. Over the years, the provincial government has prioritized ecological development and set environmental improvement at the core of its agenda. The province's ecological conditions have been improving thanks to systematic conservation of the natural environment, overall management of the rural environment, and implementation of a mechanism which holds officials accountable for the preservation of rivers and lakes. May 19 marks the opening of "Liaoning Day" theme event at the Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition. The event aims to present Liaoning as a province in transition from a traditional equipment manufacturing giant to a key economic player that is embracing green development. (Xinhua/Yang Qing)
