MAIMANA, Afghanistan, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- At least five members of Taliban insurgent group were killed and three others injured during air strikes conducted by Afghan air force in Faryab province, north of Afghanistan on Wednesday night, an official said.
"Government aircraft targeted a hideout of Taliban militants in Pashton Kot district of Faryab province on Wednesday night, killing five militants and injuring three others," Nasratullah Jamshidi, spokesperson for the national army in northern region, told Xinhua.
Taliban militants haven't commented on the report.
