RAMALLAH, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Israeli forces arrested at least 15 Palestinians during early morning raids in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, Palestinian sources said Thursday.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said that seven of those arrested were from the southern West Bank district of Hebron.
Meanwhile, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli forces raided some Palestinian homes in Beit Ummar village, south of Hebron.
The PPS, which is a quasi-governmental organization that provides legal aid to Palestinian prisoners, said that Israeli forces also arrested two Palestinians from Tulkarem and Jenin, as well as six others in East Jerusalem.
Raids by Israeli forces take place frequently across the West Bank, including in areas that are under Palestinian Authority's control. The Israeli army says that such raids are aimed at searching for "wanted" Palestinians.
