TEHRAN, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Iran coach Marc Wilmots said Wednesday that his team is set for a good display against Iraq in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying.
Team Melli will meet their Iraqi rivals on Matchday 5 of the Asian Zone second round of qualifying in Amman on Thursday.
"The venue has been changed but I think it doesn't have much effect on the result. This is our third away match out of four and we are focused on putting on a good performance against Iraq. Our primary focus is on our style of play," Wilmots was quoted as saying by Tehran Times daily.
"We know the importance of the result, but we should not feel the pressure. We are focused on booking a place at the World Cup for the third time in a row," the Belgian noted.
Group C leaders Iraq had been due to play in Basra but FIFA requested an alternative venue because of ongoing anti-government protests in the Iraqi southern port city.
