TOKYO, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks extended losses Thursday morning as the market remained cautious about ongoing trade issues as well as concerns over the possibility of Britain leaving the European Union without a deal.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 101.45 points, or 0.50 percent, from Wednesday to 20,377.97.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, fell 7.64 points, or 0.51 percent, at 1,482.71.
Services, rubber product and precision instrument-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break.
