SOFIA, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 3.3 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2019, official data showed on Wednesday.
According to flash estimates released by the country's National Statistical Institute (NSI), the GDP at current prices amounted to 28.099 billion BGN (16.122 billion U.S. dollars).
Exports of goods and services increased by 3.3 percent, while imports of goods and services decreased by 5.5 percent, the NSI said.
In the first quarter of 2019, Bulgaria's GDP grew by 3.5 percent year-on-year, while in the fourth and third quarter of 2018 the figure stood at 3.2 percent and 3.1 percent respectively.
