BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) -- The trial run of a scheme under which residents from 47 mainland cities can visit Taiwan as individual tourists will be suspended starting Aug. 1, 2019, a notice said Wednesday.
The mainland-based Association for Tourism Exchange across the Taiwan Strait said it made the decision in view of the current cross-Strait relations, according to the notice published by the association on the website of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
