CHANGSHA, China, July 25 (Xinhua) -- The 2019 Changsha International Marathon, an IAAF bronze label road race, is to be held on October 27, the organizing committee confirmed here on Thursday.
The registration process will start on July 26, and runners who have participated in any three editions of the past four years will get direct invitations to the race and those who have ran the event for four consecutive years can even choose their race numbers this year, according to the officials.
The Changsha International Marathon, inaugurated in 2015, consists of three categories: full marathon, half marathon, and a fun run. The total number of runners will reach 24,000 with 8,000 for the full marathon, 12,000 for the half marathon and 4,000 for the fun run.
The course will cover main tourist attractions of Changsha city, such as Yuelu Academy, Orange Isle and Meixi Lake.
