BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Attractions targeting travelers with children, especially theme parks and zoos, are preferred during this summer, China Daily reported Monday.
According to the Nanjing-based online travel agency Tuniu, 21 percent of people reserving summer tours this year were taking one child, while 10 percent were traveling with two children, said the newspaper.
The travel agency said the top five destinations during the summer holiday are Shanghai Disney Resort, Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou of Guangdong Province, Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom also in Guangdong, Haichang Ocean Park in Shanghai and Fantawild Dreamland in Wuhu of Anhui Province.
Cruise trips, offering diverse activities for travelers with children, have also seen a boom this summer, with reservations in June, July and August up 17.8 percent year on year and most being made by families, according to Lvmama, a travel agency in Shanghai.
