CAIRO, June 24 (Xinhua) -- The Arab parliament in Egypt strongly condemned on Monday a drone attack launched by the Houthi militias on Saudi Abha Airport.
In a statement, the Arab parliament Speaker Mishaal bin Fahm al-Salami said "the repeated Houthi terrorist attacks by ballistic missiles and drones against civilians and vital institutions in the kingdom are a strong evidence of their flagrant violation of international law."
He called on the international community to take on its responsibility for ceasing Houthi frequent attacks that deliberately target civilians and the safety of civil aviation, and threaten regional and world's security and stability.
Al-Salami also reiterated the Arab parliament's solidarity and support for all measures taken by Riyadh to protect its security and stability.
Meanwhile, Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also slammed late Sunday the attack that left one Syrian killed and at least eight civilians injured.
It reaffirmed Egypt's full support to all measures taken by Saudi Arabia to preserve its security and stability.
