BEIJING, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Edel Sitadin Martins hit a brace to help Jiangsu Suning maintain their unbeaten record at home in the 2019 Chinese Super League, beating Beijing Renhe 4-1 at Nanjing Olympic Center in the 13th round actions on Sunday night.
The former Inter Milan and Sampdoria striker opened the scoring for the hosts with a brilliant free-kick from the edge of the penalty area in the 50th minute, before netting the winner with a close-range shot in the 81st minute when he cut into the six-yard box and received a low cross from Brazilian playmaker Alex Texeira to slot home.
Martins' second goal just came four minutes after Zhang Wenzhao scored the equalizer for the visiting side.
Zhou Yun and Gao Tianyi added the third and fourth goals for Jiangsu in the stoppage time and the victory helped Jiangsu stay at the fifth place of the standings while Renhe remain at the 14th with only two points clear of the relegation zone.
A 1-1 draw with Henan Jianye saw Tianjin Tianhai stick to the bottom of the league standings with only eight points from 13 games. Their last and also the only win this season so far should back to April when they beat Shanghai Shenhua 3-2 in the seventh round.
Wang Yongpo's superb strike gave Tianhai an early 1-0 lead at home, but Henan's Cameroon forward F. Ohandza's second-half goal levelled the score. Henan rank 10th on the standings with 14 points after the game.
Shenzhen Kaisa, who have been suffering from a five-game winning drought since early May, plummeted to 14th at the table after a goalless draw with Tianjin Teda here on Sunday.
Both sides failed to create any real scoring chances. In the 61st minute, Jonathan raced in to send Frank Acheampong's cross home for Tianjian. But the goal was cancelled as Acheampong was offside receiving the ball.
