KABUL, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Four Taliban militants were killed and another injured as their explosive device went off pre-maturely in the central Daikundi province on Sunday, provincial governor Ahla Rahmati said.
Five insurgents were going to place a mine on a road in Malkok area of Pato district on Sunday morning to target the security forces convoys but the device exploded prematurely, killing four on the spot and badly wounding another, the governor said.
Taliban militants, who are largely relying on suicide and roadside bombings for attacks, haven't commented yet.
