RABAT, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Morocco and Spain on Monday discussed ways to strengthen their strategic partnership and to boost economic relations.
Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita met with his Spanish counterpart Josep Borrell on Monday, during which they discussed bilateral relations and regional issues, as well as the preparation for the high-level meeting slated early next year.
The strategic partnership provides structures for strengthening political dialogue and security cooperation, Bourita said at a joint press briefing after the meeting.
For his part, Borrell said that relations between Morocco and Spain are exemplary and have influences on very sensitive issues, including the management of migration.
On the issue of migration, Borrell said Spain is aware of the need for consolidation of cooperation in order to provide an effective response.
