China approves guideline for healthy film and television industry development

BEIJING, May 31 (Xinhua) -- A recently approved guideline on the film and television industry has signaled its development direction, Securities Daily reported Friday.

The eighth meeting of the central committee for deepening overall reform on Wednesday approved a guideline to deepen the overall reform of the industry to enhance its healthy development.

The meeting called for regulating operation of film and television enterprises, improving film and television evaluation system, playing the market role, strengthening management and law enforcement, and enhancing talent team building.
