YINCHUAN, May 26 (Xinhua) -- The "Silk Road Ningxia Yinchuan International Marathon" was held on Sunday in Yinchuan, the capital city of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
The race attracted more than 19,000 athletes from 43 countries and regions, including China, USA, Ethiopia, Kenya and so on.
In the men's full marathon race, Kenyan runner Philip kipkurui kiprono seized the victory in two hours 19 minutes and 54 seconds, while his compatriot Ndiritu Monica Watetu snatched the women's title in 2:45:29.
