BEIRUT, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Foreign Minister of Venezuela Jorge Arreaza slammed on Wednesday the interference of the United States in his country.
"The only interference we have had for the past 20 years ... is from the United States," Arreaza said following his meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil on Wednesday.
Arreaza said that, contrary to the relation with the United States, Venezuela's relations with Russia are cooperative.
"We have had military and technical cooperation with Russia for almost 17 years and it is developing as it should," he said.
Venezuela's foreign minister said that all countries must respect the international law.
Arreaza also met with Lebanese President Michel Aoun the same day, and the two discussed bilateral ties and the situation of the Venezuelan people of Lebanese origin and their role in Venezuela, reported by the National News Agency.
