KAMPALA, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Uganda will host Zimbabwe for a series of friendlies as they prepare for the 2019 Netball World Cup.
Jocelyn Ucanda, the national team manager, told Xinhua on Friday that Zimbabwe has confirmed that their team will travel to Uganda next month for the build-ups.
"We had also invited South Africa, but they replied saying they have a busy schedule," Ucanda said.
Uganda qualified for the Netball World Cup after winning all their games to emerge from their regional qualifier and claim the Africa Netball Championship.
Uganda is pooled in Group D with England, Scotland and Samoa for the event, which will take place from July 12 to 21 in Liverpool, England.
The other countries and regions that qualified for the 2019 Netball World Cup include Australia, Northern Ireland, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Malawi, Barbados, Singapore, Jamaica, South Africa, Trinidad & Tobago and Fiji.
