BERLIN, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- The number of passengers passing through German airports rose notably last year, German Airports Association (ADV) reported on Friday.
About 245 million passengers passed through German airports in 2018, a year-on-year increase of nearly 4 percent, according to a report by the Berlin-based association.
In addition, there is a significant rise of passengers in the last month of the year. About 17.2 million passengers passed through German airports, representing a year-on-year rise of 10.5 percent, the figures showed.
Also according to German news agency dpa, Frankfurt, the largest of the country's 22 airports, counted a record number of 69.5 million passengers over the course of the year.
