HANGZHOU, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- A former vice governor of northwest China's Shaanxi Province stood trial for taking bribes at the Intermediate People's Court of Hangzhou in east China's Zhejiang Province Thursday.
Feng Xinzhu was charged with accepting money and property worth more than 70.47 million yuan (about 10.41 million U.S. dollars).
He allegedly took advantage of his various posts to benefit organizations on matters such as project investment and mineral exploitation between 1999 and 2017.
Feng pleaded guilty and expressed remorse at the court.
The verdict will be announced in due course.
