BEIJING, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- A 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit the South Sandwich Islands on the Atlantic at 10:26 a.m. Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 58.35 degrees south latitude and 26.37 degrees west longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 150 km, the center said.
