JAKARTA, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Two Indonesian badminton players qualified for the 2018 Hong Kong Open on Tuesday and will now go on to the main rounds of the tournament.
Dinar Dyah Yustine and Ruselli Hartawan defeated opponents from Chinese Taipei on Tuesday in the Hong Kong Coliseum in China's Hong Kong.
Yustine defeated Chiang Ying Li with scores of 24-26, 21-12 and 21-11, and Hartawan beat Lee Chia Hsin 21-7 and 21-16.
"The opponent controlled the match well in the first game; I was affected by the slow way my opponent played," Yustine said.
Both Yustine and Chiang met in the Vietnam Open in 2013 where Chiang beat Yustine 21-14, 21-17.
Another Indonesian player Yulia Susanto was defeated by Deng Joy Xuan. In the men's draw, Henrikho Kho Wibowo also crashed out early.
