MUMBAI, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets opened higher Friday. After the drubbing Thursday, equities have begun the session on a strong note.
All sectoral indices were trading in the green, with maximum gains visible among banks, auto, metals and pharmaceutical sectors.
The benchmark S&P, BSE Sensex opened at 34,420.54, up 419.39 points, or 1.23 percent, compared to its previous close at 34,001.15.
