KUNDUZ, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- At least six people including four Taliban affiliated insurgents have been killed as a clash flared up in Qara Hindi area outside Taluqan, the capital of northern Takhar province on Monday, provincial police spokesman Abdul Khalil Asir said Tuesday.
The clash, according to the official, occurred after a group of Taliban militants attacked the pro-government militia in Qara Hindi area outside Taluqan city on Monday evening, triggering a gun battle. As a result, four Taliban fighters and two pro-government militia were killed.
Three more pro-government militia sustained injuries in the fighting, the official said.
Taliban militants haven't commented yet.
