ATHENS, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Olympiacos FC were held a goalless draw with Spain's Real Betis in the UEFA Europa League group stage on Thursday at Piraeus port.
The Piraeus team had a difficult task at the Karaiskakis stadium against the Spanish team which was better than the Greeks, especially at the second half where it had the ball possession for about 70 percent of the time.
Olympiacos FC had two big chances to score with Ahmed Hassan Mahgoub and Giannis Fetfatzidis, but did not manage to make it.
It finished the game with 10 players due to the second yellow card that was shown to Kostas Tsimikas.
For the next Europa League game, Olympiacos FC face AC Milan in Milan on Oct. 4.
