PALEMBANG, Indonesia, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- China's female rowers booked the fastest time records in lightweight single, double sculls and women's four disciplines in the rowing qualifying rounds at the Jakabaring Sports Center lake here on Monday.
Pan Dandan booked time record of 8:09.07 in women's lightweight single sculls, while the other rowers in two disciplines of women's lightweight double sculls and women's four posted time records of 7:42.03 and 7:12.38 in the qualifying rounds.
Previously on Sunday, China's men and women athletes led the time records in 6 of a total of 8 rowing disciplines.
The Asian Games rowing final rounds are scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
South Korea and the DPRK also appeared for the first time in the Asian Games rowing sports here as a unified team.
Besides rowing, Korea will also compete in canoeing and dragon boat.
Korea Rowing Team manager Kim Songwook said the team had assigned 25 men and women to various disciplines.
