Int'l film festival to be held in Vietnam's capital

HANOI, July 5 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 Hanoi Film Festival (HANIFF) will take place on Oct. 27-31, with the participation of nearly 1,200 delegates, including 200 foreigners, the Vietnam Cinema Department said on Thursday.

Besides films for competition, which have yet to compete in any international film festivals in Asia, the HANIFF will screen works not for competition that include award-winning Polish and Iranian films.

On the sidelines of the HANIFF, seminars, an exhibition, a script-writing camp and a marketplace for film-making projects will be held, said the department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
