KUWAIT CITY, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait on Monday said Israel's "vicious massacre" against Palestinians violates international human rights law, the Kuwait News Agency said.
In a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti government called on the UN Security Council to adopt urgent measures to protect Palestinian civilians against Israeli violations.
The government also expressed deep concern about the Israeli forces' excessive use of force against Palestinians protesting the opening of the U.S. embassy in the disputed holy city of Jerusalem.
On Monday, new clashes erupted in the wake of the inauguration of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem, where 55, including at least two minors, were killed by Israeli forces, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
