NANJING, April 19 (Xinhua) -- A group of Chinese students have returned from a "Marxism tour" aimed at "international education of thoughts and politics."
Students from Nanjing University in east China's Jiangsu Province visited Trier, Berlin, Koln and Brussels, places where Karl Marx once lived, studied or worked, to coincide with Marx's 200th birthday.
The students held talks with Marxist experts and saw Marx's manuscripts, notes and book collection during the trip, which started on April 12.
"I wrote diaries every day during the overseas tour," said Han Zheng, a student of the university's school of journalism and communication. "I also had talks with my peers, which strengthened my identification with Marx and Marxism."
"The students were selected by the university, and a one-month training was held prior to the tour," said Hu Daping, a professor at the school of Marxism of the university. "The students will make a video to share their thoughts about the trip."
