YANGON, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Five people including a woman were killed with 23 others injured during a pilgrimage bus crash in Ngape township, Myanmar's Magway region, according to a release from the Home Affairs Ministry Thursday.
The accident occurred on Minbu-Ann road on Wednesday evening, the release said.
With a total of 28 passengers aboard, a Hyundai mini-passenger bus lost control and fell steep into a ravine at a depth 76.2 meters at 05:30 p.m. local time, killing five passengers.
The injured were brought to Ngape General Hospital.
The reckless driver who fled the scene was blamed for the accident.
