SINGAPORE, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.48 percent or 16.42 points to close at 3466.38.
A total of 2.05 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.38 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.05 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 254 to 174.
The STI index ended up 0.22 percent or 7.46 points to close at 3449.96 on Monday.
