AMMAN, March 18 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Dragon Mall opened in Jordanian capital Amman on Sunday, with a wide variety of Chinese products for sale.
The mall with 160 stores, which covers around 20,000 square meters, costs about 20 million U.S. dollars to build.
It offers products from home essentials and furnishings to office equipment, electronics, building materials, machinery and fashion.
The mall was opened in the presence of Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Pan Weifang and Jordan's State Minister for Investment Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh.
The project reflects China's commitment to investments in Jordan, Pan said, adding that more investment will follow.
The Jordanian minister voiced appreciation for China's support and investments.
China is a great investor in the energy sector of Jordan, he said, mentioning the investment of 1.6 billion dollars in an oil shale power plant.
