KABUL, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- At least one person was killed and four others wounded after a military helicopter collided with an electricity tower and crashed in Sorubi, a district on the eastern outskirt of Kabul on Wednesday, local media 1 TV reported.
The incident occurred near an Afghan army camp in the evening in the district, 50 km east of Kabul, the report said.
Security forces have cordoned off the area for precautionary measures.

General Dawood Amin, police chief of Kabul, when approached by Xinhua, confirmed the incident, saying more details will be shared with media after an investigation.
