HANOI, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam will host the 27th World Economic Forum (WEF) on ASEAN on Sept. 11-13 with participation of over 800 leaders of businesses, governments, international organizations and media agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Wednesday.
Under the theme "ASEAN 4.0: Entrepreneurship and the Fourth Industrial Revolution," the meeting will discuss and find new approaches to regional governance, sharing countries' experiences in social and economic governing, defining new development models and dynamism for ASEAN economies, and shaping policies to develop smart infrastructure systems in the region.
Established in 1971 as a non-profit foundation, the Geneva-based WEF is committed to improving the world economy by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
