ANKARA, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Turkish authorities on Friday detained 14 suspected Islamic State members who were preparing an attack in Ankara ahead of Sunday's election, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.
The 14 suspects, all foreign nationals, were detained in simultaneous morning raids at their residences in Ankara. They were taken to the capital's Directorate of Security for testimony, the news agency said.
No further details were given on the attack's timing and location.
Turkish citizens across the country will head to the polls on Sunday to elect the president and members of parliament.
